Title: Software Systems Engineer Location: NJ-Basking Ridge
PDS Tech is seeking a Software Systems Engineer for an open position.
Responsibilities:
o Lead and participate in gathering business requirements, analysis of source systems, and define underlying data sources and transformation requirements and Business Intelligence Reporting using OBIEE 11g.
o Prepare Technical and Functional Specifications; design suitable Analytical Reporting;
o Provide technical / user documentation and training; and perform peer reviews of work items produced at various stages of the project.
o Demonstrate development techniques, standards, and guidelines.
o Perform effort estimation for various Business Intelligence Reporting activities;
o Meet project deliverables as per requirements, on time within budgets.
o Assisting users in tuning and building reports.
Qualification:
o Has at least 6 years overall Business Intelligence experience.
o Minimum 4 years of exp in Unix/Linux.
o Minimum 4 years of experience in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL.
o Strong knowledge of performance tuning in OBIEE 11g.
o Experience in OBIEE solution architecting (OBIEE 11g) and have a strong understanding on OBIEE 11g capabilities.
o Hands-on experience with OBIEE 11g.
o Experience in OBIEE 11g Visualization design the dashboards and reports, to recommend how best to display data using OBIEE capabilities.
o Hands-on experience with Obiee 11G and Essbase 11g connectivity, Drill through from Obiee Dashboard.
o Should have used java scripts / Java / Webservices and other tools to enhance the OBIEE 11g Dashboards.
o Should have extensive design, development, and implementation of Oracle BI Apps.
o Should have experience in designing and developing repositories using Star Schema.
o Should have expertise in Business Model development with Dimensions, Hierarchies, Measures, Aggregation
o Knowledge of Hyperion 11g will be an added advantage
o Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive
o Strong Computer Science background is required
o Installation / Configuration of OBIEE 11g under clustered environments a plus.
This position may require you to submit to and pass a drug test and/or background check.
If this is a hands-on position, you may also be required to pass a safety and productivity examination.
